2 Tips To Wake Up Your Metabolism

Your alarm goes off. You drag yourself out of bed. You drag yourself to the bathroom to get ready for your day. The last thing on your mind is a healthy wonderful breakfast. The first thing on your body's mind, is breakfast. The word breakfast means a break in the fast. Your body has been fasting all night. To get your metabolism going and start burning fat, you need to put fuel in the tank within an hour of waking. Your breakfast needs to be full of protein because protein takes a long time to break down. Protein makes your body feel fuller longer. Protein can come from plants or animals. A bowl of cereal does not constitute a metabolism burning breakfast. Below you will find a few recipes that you can prepare on the weekend, portion out, and prepare for your week. By starting your day with a quality breakfast, you give your body the fuel it needs to get you through the da. You have all day to burn the calories and your breakfast. Egg Muffins. Protein Pancakes Greek yogurt and fruit: 1/2 c plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 c sliced fruit (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, etc), 1/2 TB honey or agave, cinnamon, options: dash dark chocolate powder.
