Your body has no option but to follow the things your mind says to it. The body is designed to listen to the mind. Think of your body as an elephant (I don't mean by size) and your brain is the driver. If the driver of the elephant is not in charge, then the elephant is in charge and it will go and do whatever it wants to do, because it is an elephant! To make the shift, we have to break the loop. Here are a few tips to get you started.
1. Start with Gratitude. When you focus on things that are good and uplifting, your body starts to move in that direction. Every night, 5 minutes before bed or 5 minutes before leaving work, write down 3 things for which you are grateful. After writing them, FEEL, them. Why are you grateful for that? Allow the feelings to set it and become your normal state. You start seeking things to be grateful for. Give this one month and see what happens.
2. Set you alarm for 2 minutes ahead of when you normally awake. Find a nice, quiet area of the house and sit for 1 minute, meditating. Whatever that looks like to you. Spend one minute in silence with your eyes closed and your heart open.
3. Take your worst negative self-talk statement. Turn it into a positive, loving affirmation and post it here in the comment section. When you hear yourself go into that negative mode, stop and state your positive statement.
That's it. With these 3 simple tools, you can create the world in which you choose to live.
